Typically this is when we meet the band for the first time, but we've been friends with James and we've been documenting his other band, of Montreal for the last year. He recruited the help of Davey Pierce and Dottie Alexander who've been touring with him recently.

First of all, James has sweet kicks. Secondly, we were restricted to this part of the loading dock since the piano wasn't very mobile, but some dudes decided to pick the same day to replace the facade a few units over. We started and stopped about fifteen times, but eventually decided to allow their hammering and clanging to join in.
